5 Ways To Style Mom Jeans Everyday

We have seen a lot of trends come back from the ’90s and the mom jean is one I have been dreading. I remember seeing so many celebrities rocking the mom jean and had an inkling that maybe they were onto something. Well, the saying is true—if you can’t beat them, join them. Say hello to my favorite ’90s, high-rise mom jean by AGOLDE. Autumn In Your Closet

For Look 1, I decided to try this Love Shack Fancy Sweater. My darling friend Brianne introduced me to the line and I can’t get enough. I grabbed a Gucci belt from Trunk Club and some Free People shoes with a Gigi Pip hat. My bag is Poppy & Sage. And you’ve gotta agree—this is basically autumn in an outfit.

Rock ‘N’ Roll All Night

For Look 2 I added my favorite Kyi Kyi Hat with a vegan leather jacket, a rock ‘n’ roll t-shirt with classic golden goose sneakers. I love rocking a band tee and probably have more of them than any one woman needs, but hey, they go with my new favorite mom jeans! I added some fun sneakers and knotted the side for a little added texture and now I look like I’m with the band.

Quick Change-Up

Sometimes I need to make a quick change and elevate my outfit midday. While wearing the same rock tee and mom jeans I can swap out my BlankNYC faux-leather jacket for a warm, rust-colored coat from Sam Edelman. And switch my sneakers for my Free People flats. I pop on a Gigi Pip hat and without changing my outfit, elevated my whole look!

Casual Cool

You know those days where comfort matters more than style? As a mom of four sometimes that feels like everyday but mom jeans are mom jeans for a reason. Dress them up or down and they always look good. For Look 3, I threw on a vintage-style sweatshirt from Anine Bing, some old checkered Vans and a few fun bangles by Tiny Tags. I paired it with my Poppy + Sage straw bag and this is California style basics 101.

When In Doubt, Add a Blazer

Sometimes it’s hard to look totally pulled together when you’re running around all day, but blazers always help me feel polished. For Look 4, I paired my mom jeans with an easy white cami, topped with a sharp, black blazer from Nordstrom, and a dainty necklace from Tiny Tags for a more polished look. Adding heels brings the whole thing together, making my jeans professional but fun.

Mom’s Hitting the Town

Okay, maybe I don’t get to go out very often but when I do I want to be comfortable and stylish! For Look 5, I paired my super comfortable (and by now my new favorite) jeans with a wild, cheetah-print blazer, strappy heels, big hoops earrings and my beloved Valentino Rockstud clutch.
