Updating My Outdoor Space With Arhaus

My family and I are blessed to be living in San Diego, where we are living in a constant state of warmth and sunshine. Of course, that means we love to make the most of our outdoor patio and make it an extension of our living space. This summer we had the opportunity to partner with my favorite brand, Arhaus, and recreate our outdoor area into something the whole family can enjoy with an oversized seating area, beautiful lighting, and enough space for all six of us and then some!

We’ll never be the family with the cute bistro table out on the patio—there are six of us! Just having the space to sit down to a family meal calls for a giant table, like the Arhaus Canyon Outdoor Dining Table with seating up to 10! And I pushed two of them back to back for even more space. Now we can invite friends and family over too. Enough room for the Schaffer six with room to spare? Yes, please!

Plus, I love that the Canyon collection is handcrafted from sustainably harvested solid teak wood. The wood contains natural oils that repel insects, prevent drying, and resist moisture and left untreated, fades into this beautiful silvery-grey patina that will match the rest of my outdoor furniture perfectly. I love that sun-kissed farmhouse style!

Seating For Everyone

With big beautiful chairs, it’s so easy to feeling like you’re relaxing, and not just dining, at this gorgeous table. But the bigger the chair, the more space it uses! To balance out a relaxing dining space for adults and a fun eating area for the kids, we combined chairs with a bench.

With the Canyon Outdoor Dining Arm Chairs and Side Chairs on one side and the Canyon Outdoor Dining Bench on the other, the kids can pile up for lunch, then run off to play! Of course, Bobby and I can keep an eye on them, and enjoy the comfort of these seats, without moving a muscle!

Light Up the Night

The weather has been amazing all summer long, and just because it gets dark out doesn’t mean the fun should stop! Arhaus has so many beautiful outdoor lamps to choose from, but because my space is covered and I can use indoor/outdoor pieces on the patio, I opted for the indoor Latigo Pendant.

Handwoven by artisans, from natural rattan, it mirrors the other Arhaus rattan lamps I have in my house and helps pull the design through the house from inside to outside. It really makes our outdoor space feel like it’s part of our living room. As an extension of our indoor space it feels cozy and comfortable, and it’s a place we want to be all season long!
