We are a Disney family—always have been and always will be! Any chance we get, we love to visit the parks and experience all of the magic that Disneyland offers. It truly is such a special place, where everyone is welcome and celebrated for who they are. Yep, right up our alley!
We were fortunate enough to visit Disneyland and California Adventure twice in the last month—once for a dance competition for the kids and the other for the premiere of Lightyear. Both were amazing experiences full of fun memories. Every time we go to Disneyland, we fall more in love, so I wanted to share a few of our favorite moments to inspire your next visit.
All in the Details
We start our trips at California Adventure. Because it’s not as big, it’s easier to cover and we love grabbing all of the photo moments before the crowds arrive. You’ll want to snap one in front of Pixar Pier and at the backdrop of Hollywood Land. A few of our favorite rides are The Little Mermaid and the Grizzy River Rapids. For that one, I’m a snap the photo from the deck kind of gal, while Bobby and the kids get soaked! In Disneyland, photos on Main Street and in front of the castle are a must! I also love sneaking off to Snow White’s wishing well, too! We love all of the coasters here and exploring Fantasyland. It’s quintessential Disney! If you’re visiting the park with family, the new Genie+ is a great investment to take advantage of shorter lines on those extra busy days.
Refueling in Style
Is there anything better than Disney snacks? Give us all the pretzels, churros, and popcorn! In Disneyland, the pineapple Dole Whip is an absolute must for us. In California Adventure, we love classics like Mickey pretzels and Buzz Lightyear-themed churros. When we need something heartier, Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen is our favorite place to dine. Not only does it have great food and music, but it’s also in the heart of Downtown Disney. It’s such a great spot for people-watching, dining, and immersing yourself in the energy of Disney.

Keeping the Magic Going
We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and OMG you guys—what an amazing experience. In true Disney form, the details are unmatched. It was such a beautiful space with sweet nods to classic Disney films everywhere you turned. Staying at the hotel you get to access the park earlier on “Magic Mornings” and have an amazing view of the evening fireworks. It was so nice to be able to wrap up our nights up in our room, turn on the music, and watch the fireworks show from the comfort of our own space. A must!
