In the midst of fall with the leaves changing, pumpkin spice lattes on the menu, and my kids gearing up for Halloween, I can’t forget about taking a little time for myself. Mama’s been busy this season! Between planning and decorating for the holidays I need to take an afternoon off! This means brunch with the girls—but what to wear? I want a style that evokes the cozy feeling of fall, without piling on the sweaters. A cream-toned mini dress paired with autumnal-toned accessories hits just the right sartorial notes for a fun brunch.

You can’t go wrong wearing a dress to brunch, but with the cooler season, sundresses aren’t an option. So I chose a silky, long sleeve dress with a tiered skirt and tassel ties for more warmth and texture. Paired with one of my favorite ivory hats and matching mules give it a softer, cozy feel, and with the warm brown bag, it’s perfect for the season. I add a couple of my dance mom bracelets from Boss Baby Brody’s LWP collection (I always pile them on!) and I’m ready to go!

“You gotta have style. It helps you get down the stairs. It helps you get up in the morning. It’s a way of life. Without it, you’re nobody. I’m not talking about lots of clothes.” —Diana Vreeland
