I never shy away from a seasonal home refresh. Updating my space with new throws, pillows, and statement pieces is a simple way to keep my home feeling fresh and inviting. With summer now in full swing, I knew I wanted to cycle a more indoor/outdoor, transitional feel around my home and, as always, Arhaus was my go-to!
Hostess of the Season
Backyard barbecues and outdoor dining are our favorite things come summer! There’s truly nothing like enjoying a freshly cooked meal at our patio table. (Complete with warm summer air and cozy ambiance.) Since we do this so often, I wanted to update our dinnerware and serveware. The Messina Collection was the perfect fit. I’m in love with this persimmon-peach color and the sweet floral detailing on the pasta bowls, plates, and platters.
To complement this collection, I also went with a few pieces from the Costero collection and bought round platters, bowls, and another set of plates in this gorgeous blue palette. We love hosting larger groups and I love the idea of mixing and matching. Pairing the blue and orange together felt like a natural move for summer.
Functional Comfort
I think one of the keys to nailing your indoor/outdoor space is stylish functionality. You want pieces that can be used for a number of things and are versatile enough to fit with any theme you’re planning! On that note, I knew I had to have the Telaj Geo Garden Stool. It comes in two neutral colors and has that worn, rustic look that works in so many spaces.
Similarly, I grabbed a couple of Ladera Ivory Poufs to pair with our outdoor chairs and benches and double as extra seats, too! And the poufs look so cute next to my Root Outdoor Coffee Table topped with the Eva Large Tall Vase and filled with succulents and sprigs!

Sweet Upgrades
The rest of my picks from Arhaus were to just cozy up the space up and add some new looks. I added a couple of rugs, including the Bowie Jade and Nikko Indigo. Both are performance-quality meaning they’ll withstand the outdoor elements and tie into the overall theme. I’m going for relaxed, California modern (with a touch of farmhouse of course). The lightweight stripe throw is ideal for those cooler summer nights and a few new pillow covers (Estero, Altura, Paseo, Imera) finished off my indoor/outdoor home refresh!
