It’s officially BTS season, you guys! While we’re still soaking up the last days of summer the best way we know how (think: lots and lots of pool time), we’re also getting ourselves ready for the big school year ahead. What a difference a year makes! This fall my kids will be going back to a physical class. It’s bittersweet, I loved having everyone home but the kids are so excited to see their friends in person. (And I’m excited to have the house to myself again for a few hours each day!)

A big part of preparing for the school year (no matter if it’s in person or remote) is helping my kids feel and look like their most confident selves. For us, that means shopping at Kohl’s. Kohl’s truly is our one-stop-shop for everything back to school. From clothes and shoes to backpacks and accessories, each one of my kids can find items that reflect their personal style and get them motivated for the school day and year.

Signature School Style

What I love about Kohl’s is their wide variety of clothing brands. We can essentially find all the brands my kids love and discover some new ones so that they feel confident and excited to start the new year. I don’t know if you’re like us, but our family did a lot of growing this past year (physically and emotionally!). This year, each one of my kids has new interests, new passions, and a whole new attitude (the good kind!). It’s important that we find clothes that reflect how they feel. Self-expression is no stranger at the Schaffer household.

A few standouts at Kohl’s starts with their denim selection. SO, Levi’s, Sonoma, Mudd—they’ve got all the major denim brands with such a vast collection of washes, styles, and cuts. Whether it’s flare-bottomed or skinny jeans, they’ve got it all. We also love stocking up on their tees because of all of the fun and different designs/graphics. There are cute tees (which Dylan loves), Disney, Baby Yoda, Marvel, Star Wars, and more. Trust me, your kid will find something they have to have in there.

Plus, did I mention the savings you can do? We always take full advantage of their Kohl’s Cash, where you earn $10 for every $50 spent—kind of like getting paid to shop. Which I will always stand behind.

Showstopping Stompin’

I’ve got a house full of some style-savvy kids, but one thing we always struggle with when we go back to school is shoes. Are they cute? If they are, will they last? That’s always the biggest question and most of the time, they don’t. Kohl’s stocks up on the top brands to ensure your feet are hitting the ground running in something that’s not only stylish, but durable and comfortable. The three musts!

For a more athletic shoe, we look to trusted brands like Under Armour, Nike, and Adidas. All of my kids are extremely active—whether it’s lacrosse, dance, or just running amok. We continually go for these brands at Kohl’s because of their great durability at an even greater value. For more casual shoes, my kids love Converse, Vans, Madden Girl, and SO.

Prepped With Accessories

It’s easy to find the right clothes and shoes at one store, but what sets Kohl’s apart is their impressive selection of accessories and supplies, too. If your kid is still working remotely, look into new speakers or headphones to improve their sound quality (and cut back on Zoom overlap if you have multiple remote learners). We’re also a big music family, so it’s just nice to have a great speaker for when we want to turn it up and bust a move.

If your learners are heading back in person, new backpacks and lunchboxes can also be found at Kohl’s. There are themed Disney and Marvel backpacks, classic Jansports, and so much more. It says something when all four kids can find what they want in one store and a major win for us moms on a schedule.

The school year is right around the corner. No matter if your learner is logging in online or in person, trust me when I say that Kohl’s should be the one and only store on your back-to-school shopping list.
