Taking the Plunge
So often women don’t start their businesses due to feeling unprepared, not having the right support team or not having the confidence to make the move. Whether you’re starting a business, a blog, or are looking for a new career path, Mankowska discusses the importance of finding your support team, asking for help, and having the trust in yourself to jump in head first. By the age of 24, Mankowska had started three businesses, obtained her law degree and became a published journalist because she had the love and support of her family who not only gave her the encouragement to strive for her passions, but the confidence to bring them to life.
It’s Not Over Until I Win
If you had infinite time, money and knowledge, what would you do? What would you create? Mankowska poses the question to listeners asking them to find their passion and strive for their goals. When making a transition into a new career or business, oftentimes women can become distracted by focusing on what they could be losing—a step down in their careers, a hit to finances or even the possibility of starting over. Mankowska asks women to imagine this as a journey that will take them to their goals, whether it’s having more free time, financial freedom or building a life of their own.
No Diamonds Without Pressure
Building your support team, whether it’s family, friends, co-workers or fellow entrepreneurs allows you to not only be vulnerable but learn from one another. It’s the failures, the pressure, and mistakes that allow you to grow and understand not only yourself but your business. Mankowska points out that letting go and delegating to those around you allows you to “only work in your brilliance.” Make sure that you’re focusing on what you love to do by attracting the right support team that can help you obtain your goals.
