With four kids, three dogs, a husband, and a business, sometimes I’m not really sure where I find the time to shower let alone help my kids with schoolwork or make dinner. It’s insane. My life is a constant whirlwind. And even though my kids are back in school and extracurriculars, I still find myself wishing there was more time in the day. Doesn’t every mom?
But because we’re limited to a 24-hour day, I need to do the impossible and get myself on a schedule. One of the best ways that I get myself (and my kids) organized is by using the monthly planners and notebooks from Erin Condren. Without them, my day is a total mess.
The average person uses 13 different methods to control and manage their time.
Take a Moment to Organize Yourself
Honestly, getting myself on a schedule means the difference between a productive day and staying up past midnight to finish laundry or write a blog post. I spend just a few minutes in the morning writing in my notebook or adding tasks to my planner.
Writing everything out just takes a minute, but it gives me a better idea of what I need to get done and how to manage my time. It’s hard to be productive if you don’t have a clear idea of what you need to get done. And in what order. Plus, these planners are so adorable that you want to open them up and use them!

Invest 10-12 minutes into planning your day. It saves at least 2 hours of wasted time and effort throughout the day.
Make It Fun For Everyone
For kids (and moms!), the cutest collection from Erin Condren is her recent collaboration with Hello Kitty. It’s a charming little lineup of planners, notepads, pens, markers, stationery, and bookmarks that make your busy day just a little brighter. Dylan loves planning her day with her favorite Sanrio character. And with the cute sticky notes and glittery pens, honestly, I love them too!
My goal is to be super organized this year (and every year, but I’ll take what I can get). And I know planning my day and writing things down really helps. It’s already February and so far, so good! My month is scheduled out, my days feel productive, and even if I don’t get every single thing done, I know that I have my priorities in order because I wrote them down!
