Friday Faves

When I first moved to San Diego, I happily and accidentally stumbled into Van De Vort while checking out the shops by Whole Foods in Del Mar.  I would like to say it was a good thing, but I cannot go into that store without leaving with bags of bohemian delights.  I just love it when I find new, dreamy boutiques for both me and my kids.  To me, buying clothes for my family is the ultimate expression of identity.

I am for sure a Boho-Momma who adores any type of Coachella style fashion. Van De Vort is a little piece of heaven and I immediately embrace my inner gypsy as soon as I step in.  While shopping in Van De Vort,  I feel like a rock-star because the staff makes sure I walk out looking like one.  What a treat after wearing lulu-lemons most days.  Good news is you can view it all online right here.  Oh, and did I mention the into-video to their website is beyond jaw-dropping.  And yes, I have watched it more than once wishing the clothes came with the bodies of the girls wearing them. I sigh…

The next boutique I found, which I am also featuring on my ‘Friday Faves’ is for the little ones.  Boho Baby Boutique is by far one of the cutest and eco-friendly baby boutiques I have ever seen.  Being ‘green’ is quite important in our family and we strive to lessen our carbon footprint in the planet each day.  This boutique not only has one-of-a-kind creations, but the items are handcrafted from pre-loved materials and fits right in with my family.

I design lamps out of recycled lamp parts, my husband is a certified green dentist, and to adorn my sweet babes in up-cycled vintage threads makes me feel we are being conscious about our planet.  I just adore and appreciate what this sweet momma Kristen is doing and can’t wait to place my first order.  Another cool thing to note is that Kristen can create a custom design out of something that holds sentimental value.  I have a few of my grandmother’s garments and I am thinking about sending them her way.  How special would that be for my darling daughter?
