Friday Faves

For my Friday Faves this week I am in a Home Design State of Mind. With a few impending moves coming our way, and a new baby…this change simply brings out my nesting instincts. With every transition that happens for our family I love to refresh some of our living spaces. I can embrace change, but sometimes a little easier with fresh bouts of color.

When familiar routines suddenly make a seismic shift, you could either sink or swim. I am an eternal optimist and normally try to make the best of every upheaval we encounter. Once I settle into the “new” I find the change to be just fine. Luckily for me, I have an army of friends/neighbors that have gone above and beyond to make sure the move goes smoothly. Some took off work to help us unpack, and all of them surprised us with a dinner. Wow, these friends leave me speechless at times. Truly blessed!

I love my neighbors, for they will be my people forever. I love how we all look at each other and know this bond will never change, despite the ten minute distance. We really are lucky we have these families in our life.

Another thing I am doing to settle in is grabbing a dear friend of mine for a new set of eyes to shed my old skin. This friend of mine will help me discard physical clutter and tired ideas. I literally cannot wait for her to come in and be my organizational coach! I am so excited. It’s only when you have cast off what has been weighing you down that you can finally embrace the NEW!
