Wellness, motherhood, marriage, and the routines that actually sustain real life
People love to say, “You look great.”
What they don’t see is the infrastructure.
The glow didn’t happen overnight—and it definitely wasn’t accidental. It’s the result of intentional habits that support my body, my family, my marriage, and the life we’re building together.
This post wraps up my More Life, Less Noise wellness series—not with more rules, but with what’s actually working in this season.
1. I Move My Body for Energy, Not Aesthetic
Movement isn’t about intensity anymore—it’s about availability.
I move so I can show up: to cheer from the sidelines, to travel, to say yes to plans, and to feel strong in my body. Some days it’s a workout. Some days it’s a walk. And others it’s hitting the slopes with my Ikon Pass mamas. The goal is momentum—not punishment. And, make it fun!

2. I Eat Enough (and Start with Protein)
Undereating kept me tired.
Fueling myself keeps me grounded, strong, and present. Protein first!
This one habit changed my energy more than anything else—and it ripples into how I mother, partner, and work.
3. I Get Dressed for My Day—Even at Home
Confidence doesn’t wait for a calendar invite.
Getting dressed is a form of self-respect. It shifts my posture, my mindset, and how I move through the day—even when no one’s watching.

4. I Protect My Mornings (When I Can)
No chaos scrolling. No starting the day behind. Get up. Get coffee. Get outside if I can.
Even ten quiet minutes—walking, stretching, breathing—changes the entire tone of my day. It’s not about perfection. It’s about intention.

5. I Invest in My Relationships—Individually
This has been one of the most fulfilling shifts of this season.
I’m deeply intentional about tapping into each of my kids’ dreams—what lights them up, what matters most to them, and how I can support that in a real, tangible way.
This weekend, I’m taking my daughter to dance clinics at the University of Utah—because she was accepted and is preparing to try out for their dance team. Watching her chase something she cares so deeply about, and getting to stand beside her while she does it, fills my cup in a way I didn’t expect.
That kind of presence matters. To them—and to me.
The same goes for my marriage. Dating my husband is a non-negotiable.
Our relationship doesn’t get what’s left over anymore. It gets intention, attention, and time—because our connection is the foundation everything else stands on.
Wellness isn’t just personal.
It’s relational.

6. I Keep My Rituals Simple—but Consistent
Lately, that looks like small, grounding beauty and wellness rituals that help me feel more like myself.
Face icing in the morning.
Brow peptide at night.
Not because I should, but because consistency creates calm—and the glow usually follows.
I’ve been loving The Skinny Confidential face ice rollers and brow peptide as part of my real routine. Click to watch how I use them. Shop my favorites and use code CITYGIRL for the best savings.

7. I Invest in Myself Without Guilt
Time.
Energy.
Tools.
Support.
I stopped waiting for permission to feel good.
Because when I’m regulated, supported, and well—everyone around me benefits.
The Takeaway
This season of my life isn’t about doing more.
It’s about maintaining what matters.
My body.
My people.
My relationship.
My peace.
The glow isn’t an accident.
It’s the result of tending to the life I’m actually living.
