There are few things more magical than London in the fall—and even fewer things more magical than leaving your kids at home while you go. My husband and I just got back from a whirlwind London adventure, and let’s just say: between palaces, musicals, graffiti tunnels, shopping and some badass street style, this trip had everything.
The Royals, the Views & the Big Ben of It All
We did the classics—because how can you not?

- Buckingham Palace: I waved, but apparently the Queen wasn’t home.
- Westminster Abbey: Gorgeous, historic, and the kind of place that makes you feel slightly underdressed even in your best travel outfit.
- London Eye: A giant ferris wheel that doubles as a marriage test. (Do you hold hands and soak in the skyline, or argue about how high up you are?)
- Tower of London: Ravens, crown jewels, and enough history to keep even my husband impressed.
Where We Ate, Drank & (Accidentally) Almost Caught on Fire
No, seriously. Soho House White City turned into a scene straight out of a British tabloid with water rushing into the building as a fire engulfed the former BBC headquarters nearby. Don’t worry—everyone was fine, including my blowout.
Food-wise, London did not disappoint:
- Kettner’s: Chic, historic, and the perfect lunch date spot.
- Neal’s Yard: The most colourful corner of Covent Garden
- Soho House Greek Street: Cozy vibes before the “other Soho House incident.”
- Covent Garden: As we perused the mix of cuisines, pre-theatre dining, and even food markets in Covent Garden, we stumbled into the Phlur popup (hello, gorgeous perfumes!) and left smelling expensive.
And then there was Harrods. One of my followers commented, “Which house are you selling?!” after I posted about it. Fair question. Let’s just say the food hall is dangerous, the fashion is drool-worthy, and yes—I came home with something I definitely didn’t need but absolutely wanted.

Pub Life: Where Eagles Fly at 2 A.M.
Pubs in London aren’t just about beer—they’re about commitment. Case in point: we found ourselves in a Philadelphia Eagles bar at 2:00 in the morning… and it was packed. Packed! With actual fans, cheering like it was the Super Bowl. Only in London would staying up until dawn for American football make perfect sense.
Not to be outdone, we caught the Jets game at another pub on Sunday. Yes, I suffered through another Jets loss—but hey, I was in London, pint in hand, so I guess it could have been worse!
Art, Theater & Street Magic
By pure chance, I got to witness something absolutely magical in London: the incomparable Todrick Hall making his directorial debut with Burlesque the Musical at the Savoy Theatre! Not only was he the director, but also the choreographer, the composer of 20 jaw-dropping numbers, and one of the lead characters. Is there anything this man can’t do? Truly the best musical I’ve ever seen.

And none of it would have happened without the incredible Caryn Sterling, Todrick’s powerhouse manager, who led us straight into this unforgettable experience. Forever grateful, Caryn—London, you stole our hearts!
Bonus: Todrick already has another original musical on the horizon—Midnight—and I cannot wait to see what he does next.
Street Poetry: A poet literally wrote us something on the spot. Hands down, the coolest and most unexpected souvenir of the trip.
Leake Street Tunnel: London’s legal graffiti zone. Think Banksy meets Instagram backdrop—yes, I made my husband take a million photos.
