Spring Breaking this week for my little monkeys… We are off to Disney, but before we hit the Magic Kingdom and dance with Mickey & Minnie, I had to share with you this weeks favorites. From fashion to home decor, these dream boards really had me saying, “yes please” one after the next!

I love my first dream board because my maiden name is MONACO and when I saw my name popping out of the page, I was smiling from ear to ear.  Though I am a traditional Italian girl, and gladly took my husband’s name 12 years ago, my maiden name was mine for the first part of my life.  Monaco will always be part of who I am.  It’s a weird thing as a woman, having to say goodbye to your first last name.  A lot of women keep their names due to them feeling it is tightly woven into their identity.  Heck, some of my highschool and college friends used to straight up call me Monaco and just skipped over Danielle.  It’s who I was, Daniella Lucia Maria Monaco. I was never really über sad about saying goodbye to the name, more so fascinated that I was going to transcend into this new identity.

Either way, I am glad this dream board gave me a chance to reminisce about the free-spirited Monaco that I once was and in a way, still am, just with a new name I suppose.  I am proud to have the same name of my husband and the sweet little beings we created.  To me, our new name is who we are…. I take pride in having the name that my family has even though I once was, “The girl from MONACO.”
