Ever since we started social distancing last March my family and I have turned into movie buffs. Movie night—either in the living room or in the backyard—has become one of our favorite things to do as a family. The kids take turns picking their favorite flicks, we pop popcorn, and get to experience lots of visual adventures together! This month we have a few new movies we’re watching together that are on our must-see list! If you’re looking for some fun films to watch this month, check these out!
Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar
In Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar, lifelong friends Barb and Star embark on the adventure of a lifetime when they decide to leave their small Midwestern town for the first time ever. Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo (co-writers of Bridesmaids) star as BFFs who take a hilarious vacation together and they nailed it! I can’t wait to take a trip with my friends soon! But until then, I’ll be watching this new movie from my couch!
Tom & Jerry
Didn’t we all watch Tom & Jerry cartoons as kids? If you were a fan of the wacky cat and mouse as a child, check out their new film with your littles! A combination of classic animation and live-action, Tom and Jerry’s latest adventure is new ground for the iconic duo, forcing them to do the unthinkable: work together to save the day. Grab lots of popcorn and watch your kids enjoy this silly adventure!
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences loved Tom and Jerry just as much as the kids in the audience. The Tom and Jerry cartoons have earned eight Oscars.

To All The Boys: Always and Forever
On Valentine’s Day, my daughter and I got our robes, face mask, and treats for a special mother-daughter date outdoors to watch the new movie To All The Boys: Always and Forever. I was excited to connect with my daughter over Lara Jean’s life challenges that I know Dylan will soon have to overcome as well—college applications, relationships, and moving away from home! Grab your teen and settle in at home for a fun girls’ night and watch To All The Boys: Always and Forever this weekend.
Raya and the Last Dragon
Raya and the Last Dragon is coming to Disney+ on March 5 and my kids cannot wait to see this movie! We’re a Disney family all the way, and the studio’s latest film looks like it’ll be another family classic. In the film, the lone warrior, Raya, has to track down the last dragon in order to stop sinister monsters known as the Druun from threatening the land. Along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than dragon magic to save the world—it’s going to take trust as well.
The Little Mermaid was one of the first features to use Pixar’s computer animation process.
