Where to Stay: Limelight Hotel Mammoth

We checked into the Limelight Hotel Mammoth, and from that moment on, everything felt easy. Cozy but elevated, family-friendly but stylish (a hard balance to strike), and located close to everything.

Friday: Arrival, Food & Winter Vibes

After checking in, we headed straight to Mammoth Brewing Company for a late lunch—casual, delicious, and exactly what you want after a travel day.

The night wrapped with the Limelight Live Winter Show, which felt like a cozy welcome party for the weekend. Think warm drinks, live music, and that we’re officially on vacation feeling.

Saturday: Ski Slopes & Après Goals

The morning started with breakfast at the hotel (moms, you know how important this is), followed by Ski Butler fitting us with equipment—no hauling gear, no stress.

From first chair to early afternoon, Mammoth Mountain delivered. Whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, or just soaking in the views, it’s one of those places that reminds you why winter trips are worth it.

Après Ski Done Right

Back at the Limelight terrace, we leaned into après-ski life—warm drinks, bundled layers, and a relaxed vibe that felt very city girl meets mountain town.

That night, Night of Lights at Canyon Lodge was pure magic. Snow, lights, and memories my daughter is still talking about.

Sunday: Scenic Drives, Gondolas & a Perfect Farewell

Sunday slowed down in the best way.

We took a scenic drive around Mammoth for content creation (and sanity), letting the Palisade XRT Pro shine on snow-lined roads while capturing some truly unreal views.

Later, a gondola ride to dinner felt like something straight out of a winter movie. Dinner at Parallax was the perfect send-off—elevated, warm, and celebratory, with farewell cocktails that made me wish the weekend wasn’t ending.

Timing is Everything

Amidst a busy holiday month, turns out, this trip was just what we needed. It reminded me that adventure doesn’t have to be overwhelming—and with the right car, the right hotel, and the right mountain town, it can actually feel effortless.
