Apparently preparing your daughter for college means becoming emotionally attached to dorm decor 😭😂

We officially started planning Dylan’s dorm room with @potterybarndorm and honestly… this process feels SO much less overwhelming having everything in one place.

We’ve been focusing on pieces that make small spaces feel functional, organized, cozy, and elevated all at the same time 🙌

From Twin XL bedding to storage solutions and no nails decor… we’re trying to make her dorm actually feel like home.

I also love that Pottery Barn Dorm has tools like the Dorm Wish List + Pick Up Near Campus because move-in week already feels stressful enough 😂

Ten months.
No hugs. No quick “I miss you” squeezes. No running into my boy’s arms when I wanted to.

Today they finally released him from formation… and I don’t think I’ve ever run so fast in my life.

People see the uniform, the discipline, the strength. But behind every cadet is a family counting the days, missing pieces of their heart, and praying through every milestone.

Watching my son graduate from the U.S. Air Force Prep School was one of the proudest moments of my life. And that hug? Worth every single second apart. 🇺🇸

At this point, ladies, the bar is in HELL.You did not survive heartbreak, trauma, mixed signals, and a man who still owes YOU money while his checking account looks like a CVS receipt in the negatives… just to do it AGAIN.

If he’s going to emotionally destroy you, the LEAST he can do is include:

My only girl.
And somehow we went from Barbie shoes in the hallway… to senior pictures and graduation announcements on the kitchen counter.

Everyone warns you that the days go fast, but nobody tells you how loud the silence feels when your baby starts becoming her own person.

I blinked and the little girl who used to hold my hand crossing the street is now walking into her future without needing me to guide every step.
And honestly? I’m somewhere between unbelievably proud and emotionally unwell. 😂

Being your mom has been the greatest role of my life.
I’ve watched you grow into someone kind, strong, funny, truly hilarious, smart, independent, and completely unforgettable.

You made motherhood beautiful for me.
You made our house louder, brighter, messier, and so full of love. My only girl in a houseful of boys…

So yes… I’ll cry at graduation.
I’ll cry at Target when I pass the dorm section. I’ll@cry when I pass by menchies and wonder how did this happen? I’ll probably cry every time I see a little girl with curly hair and sparkly shoes.

But more than anything, I’m proud.
So incredibly proud of the woman you’re becoming.
