There’s something about New York that just gets into your bloodstream. The lights, the pace, the energy — it’s chaos in the best way. This time, Brody and I went big (not that doing anything small is ever in our nature): Broadway, Beetlejuice, and a suite that could have been designed by Tim Burton himself.
🖤 Checking In: The Beetlejuice Suite at Tempo by Hilton
When your hotel room looks like a movie set, you know it’s going to be a good trip.
We checked into the Beetlejuice Suite at Tempo by Hilton Times Square — a spooky-chic dream come true. Think bold black-and-white stripes from floor to ceiling, whimsical portraits of everyone’s favorite Netherworld crew, and just enough mischief to make it pure fun.
Brody immediately called dibs on the robe (and the best spot on the bed, naturally) while I admired how even the minibar had a sense of humor. The suite came with themed treats and a credit for the hotel’s Highball Lounge, where I ordered the neon-hued Netherworld Swizzle, and Brody matched me with his own mocktail.
Between the Broadway lights outside our window and the cheeky Beetlejuice décor inside, it felt like staying in our own private movie set.
Great news for you, friends! The Beetlejuice Suite has been extended until November 12th, which is the end of the show’s run at The Palace Theatre.

The Show, the Laughs, the Broadway Buzz
If you’re staying in the Beetlejuice Suite, you have to see the show — it’s basically the law.
We walked a few blocks to the Palace Theatre for Beetlejuice The Musical, and from curtain up to curtain call, we were hooked. The music, the humor, the over-the-top visuals — it’s Broadway at its boldest.
Brody was completely transfixed, quoting lines halfway through and clapping like he’d been born for the orchestra seats. When it ended, we took a long, glowing stroll through Times Square — that electric mix of chaos, street performers, and late-night dessert stops that never gets old.

Dinner, Dessert & Downtown Energy
No matter what your mission, when in NYC… you’ve got to mix in your favorite spots. Monkey Bar (yes, that Monkey Bar) is where we always go for their famous monkey bread — 10/10 and Brody’s favorite, and worth every carb.
Soho Days & Sweet Stops
The next morning, we swapped neon lights for cobblestone charm. Soho was calling — and we answered.
Our first stop: Abercrombie, for Brody’s fall jacket fix. Then we hit Aritzia, where I could’ve spent all day — DJ throwing vibes downstairs, and a café upstairs. Brody turned on the charm, did a few impromptu dance moves, and before I could even blink, they sent us upstairs for the Frankenstein of all coffees. It was one of those “yep, it’s awesome being Brody’s plus one”.

Pro-tip: On your next trip… grab some slices at Prince Street Pizza, then wander into Anita Gelato for dessert. Soho never misses — all cast-iron buildings, tiny boutiques, and those perfect little street corners that make you feel like you’re in a movie.
Every time we visit, it feels brand new — the energy, the people, the moments.
And yes, I’ve got the whole trip on my Instagram Highlight Reel if you want to see it all in motion (including Brody’s Broadway-worthy dance break).
Why We’ll Always Come Back
This trip had all the right ingredients: a hotel that doubled as an experience, a show that left us laughing all night, and a city that never stops surprising you. New York, you did it again — lights, laughter, and just the right amount of chaos. This one’s definitely going in the books.
Until next time, it’s showtime.
