Hotel rooms with space to actually breathe >>>

The Wasatch Suite at @evo_hotel was the kind of room you walk into and instantly drop your bags like “okay… we’re good.” Exposed brick, clean modern design, tons of space to spread out and actually relax after full days running around Salt Lake City with my girl.

You know when a hotel room feels like somewhere you want to hang out, not just sleep? This was that.

No one talks about this part of raising kids in sports.

The early mornings. The long drives. The missed vacations and family time. The group chats. The hotel hallways. The snacks that cost more than dinner. Years of building life around practices, games, clinics, auditions and hope… for a dream that was never guaranteed.

Standing in a room with hundreds of insanely talented dancers chasing a handful of spots hit me hard. Because this isn’t just dance. It’s every sport. Every family. Every kid who basically grew up in a duffel bag.

Sometimes they get into the school… but not the team. And that doesn’t mean they weren’t good enough. The margins are just razor thin and the rooms are VERY full.

She hasn’t even tried out yet and yes, we know it’s a long shot. But watching her chase it anyway reminded me of something bigger than any roster list.

If she makes it, we’ll celebrate wildly. If she doesn’t, we’ll still celebrate the courage to try… and maybe finally go on a vacation that isn’t scheduled around a tournament 😅

Because the goal was never just the team. It was raising strong, brave, resilient humans.

I made that. Like… from scratch. And now she’s out here doing things that make me question how time moved this fast 🥹

From tiny shoes and snack cups to dance bags, late night practices, and chasing big dreams. Parenting is wild because one minute you’re tying their shoes and the next you’re watching them become their own person right in front of you.

If you’re in the season of carpools, practices, rehearsals, and cheering from the sidelines… just know we’re all out here crying behind our phones together 😂

I was not prepared for the chaos it exposed. Apparently I’m a walking content studio fueled by iced coffee, mom duty Hyundai carpools, dance bags, affiliate links, and a fully charged phone battery at all times.

CEO energy on top. Uggs on the bottom. Running a business from the front seat of my SUV while yelling “FILM THIS” to my kids.

POV: the Hyundai Palisade is basically my second closet 🚗💅

Adulting at its finest all day. Sent the emails. Took the meetings. Used my pretend “corporate voice.”
Then the second I get back in the car… it’s UGGs, sweatshirt, baseball cap, and full mom mode activated 😌So what I forgot I had the fishnets on (who’s watching anyway?) 😜
