Floral Fabrics Make For a Perfect Summer Outfit

If it was up to me, every day would be summer. We would all live in skirts, shorts, and dresses, enjoying the sun and the breeze. No work, no school, just having fun and hanging out. And while I understand that we can’t have summer year-round, for a couple of months I get to enjoy all that heat and fun the season brings. It’s when I get to pull out those light, easy layers, and play in the sun! While I normally reserve my kimonos and layers for cooler months, lightweight, airy materials were made for summer⁠—plus they elevate an outfit almost instantly!

Since one of my go-to outfits is jeans and a tee, I switched it up a little for summer. This week I’ve been rocking a cargo jean skirt, a band tee, and nude mules, topped with a floral patchwork kimono. It’s soft and comfortable and looks like a full outfit, without all the fuss. I love how breezy and soft this outfit looks, making me feel laid back, but still pulled together. And how fun is it to spin and dance in that flowing fabric? Now I’ll be just as stylish as my little Boss Baby Brody when I dance!
