We all want to be “that” mom. You know, the one with the Pinterest-perfect birthday parties, or the one who looks like a rock star dropping her kids off at school. How about the one that seems to always have it together? In my mind, these moms clearly must have been granted some sort of supercharged cape because organizing my mega-sized family can be quite the challenge. My days can be best described as drowning in deadlines and diapers. But thanks to Erin Condren, she’s made my transition into an organized mom that much easier, not to mention with a style that suits my family’s vibe perfectly.

People who multi-task decrease their productivity by 20-40 percent and are less efficient than those who focus on one project at a time.

Get That Space Organized

For a family the size of ours, one cute little calendar on the fridge is not going to cut it. In order for me not to drown in my to-do list, I write out everything on easy-to-see (and easy-to-edit) wall organization charts from Erin Condren. Her charts are the perfect solution to laying out chores, tasks, and lists.

I love that they have additional accessories to keep everything organized around my desk like magnetic and cork strips, pencil cups, and key holders. When my space is organized, my mind is organized! It’s adorable, practical, and quite genius if you ask me.

The National Association of Professional Organizers notes the average American will spend one year of their lives searching through desk clutter looking for misplaced objects.

Never Go Anywhere Without Your Planner

If it’s not written down, it’s not happening. Mom fog is real, and if you think you will remember everything, you’re dead wrong. (In most cases—if not, please call me so I may learn your tips and tricks!) Erin Condren’s LifePlanner has been my saving grace. Just writing everything down makes me feel like an organized mom! I am the type of person who has to see the month at a glance, and when I do, I can manage all of my deadlines and kids’ events, practices, and appointments. The LifePlanner’s various sections help you track your health and fitness, and places where you can keep lists and notes.

Erin also created a ton of accessories to pimp your planner out. I love the elastic pouch that holds my pens, highlighters, and business cards. A must-have for any busy mom on the go. I know a super-busy mom friend who runs a small business and has three kids. How she fits it all in I don’t know.

Quote Calendars For Kids

Despite my planner being on point, I needed a system for our entire family. Let’s face it, there is a lot of us going in different directions. I am teaching my children now how to schedule some of their important things. These are early habits that will help them later on.

And function meets fashion with cool quote notebooks and planners for kids! Add a little inspiration to your child’s day with meaningful quotes with characters from Disney and Hello Kitty! The best part? They have fun while learning to plan and keep themselves organized, plus it adds a dose of style and inspiration.

Don’t forget to schedule in some “me time!” It’s important for you to take some time out of the day to take care of yourself.

Labels. Because Everyone Needs Labels

Whether you’re scheduling a kid’s birthday party or a date night with your husband, you can bet there’s a label for it. I have an arsenal of Erin Condren gift labels for just about everything. I have a handy one for wine, kids’ presents, friends’ presents and more.

A handy tip? Keep them in your glove compartment because more often than not you will buy your gifts on the go. I also love using her sticker collections on my kids’ belongings. I just add their name and use them on my kids’ lunch boxes and books so they can easily be returned if they happen to lose them.

Keep An Arsenal of Stationary & Pens

As soon as my kids get home, it’s right to homework, so having an arsenal of pencils, colored pencils, and highlighters is a must. I also love writing thank you notes for all the nice things people do. When you have four children, there’s likely someone helping you out on the daily!

Erin has clearly thought of it all and has enabled me to really have my act together as a busy, and now organized, mother of four. When in doubt… write that s*** down. In a super cute notebook, preferably.

Studies show 10-12 minutes invested in planning your day can save up to two hours of wasted time and effort throughout the day.

Be That Organized Mom

With four kids, it can be challenging to reach the end of my to-do list. There is rarely (if ever) any downtime when you are busy mothering. I always knew if I were a better organized mom, life would run so much more smoothly. I was right! Thanks to Erin Condren, I now can manage my family so much more efficiently knowing exactly what’s going on all the time. And did I mention how great her designs are?! Being organized never felt so fabulous and fun.
